Welcome Spring/Patience




Lego Club meets the third Tuesday of each month from 6-7PM.  Members vote on a theme for the following club date.  January's theme will be "War."  December's theme was "Jungle" and the pieces are now on display at the library.   Members have a choice to donate $10-$15 per child for starter legos, or donate legos. Each program will have a theme or special challenge.  Call (608) 296-2544 for more information.

It Happened at the Fair by Deeanne Gist


            The Fair is the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893.  The principles of the story are Cullen

            McNamara, a farmer from North Carolina who is also an inventor, and Della

            Wentworth, a teacher of the deaf.  Cullen’s father makes arrangements for Cullen

            to take his automatic sprinkler system to the fair for exhibition.  The story of

            Cullen and Della is a rather typical story of woman meets man and relationship develops,
