2010 Teen Reading Program

Make Waves-Read

Pick up a few reading coupons at the library. Each day that you read 20 minutes or more, check off a box. Once you have checked off all five boxes, turn it in for a chance to win a weekly prize drawing. No more than one entry per week.

Read whatever you like! Magazines, books, graphic novels, newspapers. It’s an enjoyable habit that will enrich your life. Many studies show that continuing to read over summer vacation will also help you maintain your reading skill level when you return to school in the fall.

Teen Summer Book Club
You may also be interested in our summer book club. Participants will choose the titles and meet once per month. This will be a relaxed, non-judgmental discussion. Refreshments will also be served. It’s a great way to make a little extra commitment to yourself to KEEP READING! This club is for everyone, not just “bookworms.”

Call For Volunteers

Do you want to stay busy this summer? We need two more volunteer shelvers this summer. You would come in one time per week for approximately one hour. We will train you. We also need someone who is willing to work one-on-one with people who do not have any computer skills but need to learn some basics. Finally, can you help with our kid summer program at our craft and game day? Call or email for more information (608) 296-2544, director@westfieldlibrary.org
