Critterrr Man shares his passion for nature, big surprises, and humorous encounters while we explore our environment and the critters that share it. 

Also, find out how to earn points as you “dig into nature”:  A nature journal, scavenger hunt, and rock collecting

Treasure Dig Day

Scavenger hunt, treasure dig and worm races.

Don’t forget to take home the true treasure…………….library books!

I Dig Brains! I Dig Science!  It’s Brain Science!

A neuroscience researcher will share some fascinating facts about our brains.  Appropriate for kids of all ages.

Cake Tectonics

We’ll take a look at the layers of the Earth using cake!  We’ll also make igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary crayon rocks.  Bing in rock collections.

Shoebox Archeology

You and your partner (depending on the number of participants) will get a section of ground from an archeological dig site.  Using special tools, you will carefully explore your section for clues to an old civilization.  Participants younger than 8 may need to be partnered with an older person.

Underground Creatures

Dennis “Dino” Tlachac is back with his live animals.  This year, he will show us and tell us about animals who live underground.  Bring in rock collections, scavenger hunt finds, and nature journals.
